I had a decent lunch at Limani prior to a business meeting. The atmosphere is pretty and welcoming where the servers were very attentive for lunch. The salmon kebab with fries was light and cooked perfectly. The deconstructed baklava was just ok (prefer traditional baklava). I would easily come back, as they weren't busy on a Wed afternoon and I could actually plug my computer in, take calls, and get some work done.

My boyfriend brought me here for lunch, and it was a beautiful experience. The lighting in this place was bright and vibrant. All the tables were set ready for service. We both had two espresso martinis. They were really good since this is one of my favorite drinks right now I was happy with the outcome. For appetizer, we had the raw oysters which were of course amazing and the octopus which was grilled well and had a generous amount of onions. I do understand that this is a Mediterranean restaurant and they use a lot of olive oil. I would prefer to have a little less with an octopus, but overall it was good. For our entrée, my boyfriend had the salmon that was accompanied with mixed vegetables which contained cauliflower, broccoli and string beans. His salmon was cooked well and he enjoyed it. For myself, I ordered the swordfish which I could've sworn was on a skewer by presentation but as I was cutting it, I realized it wasn't if you are familiar with swordfish you know that it has the consistency of chicken with how meaty it is this is one of the reasons I get it because I do enjoy the texture and it being accompanied with onions, tomato and peppers. This dish came with a side of lemon potatoes which were good. My boyfriend enjoyed a cappuccino after lunch and for dessert we had a cake that he loves. I honestly can't remember the name of it. I do remember it having some type of a nut in it and they also gave us a yogurt and fruit dessert that was delicious. Service of course was great. The ambience is wonderful they have fresh fish displayed. This is a really good seafood restaurant to try.

A beautiful Mediterranean restaurant located in Roslyn, about a block away from the Americana Manhasset Mall. The place has free valet parking which often gets filled up on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner in which you would need to find your own street parking. I came here to celebrate a birthday and we did family style. First, they give complimentary Pita bread in a basket as well as hummus dip which is very good. Next, we ordered appetizers to share: the best and crispiest fried calamari I think which goes amazingly with the green sauce, a stack of Limani Chips that compose of zucchini and egg plants both of which I don't usually like but taste great with the white sauce, and grilled octopus which is deliciously made with a variety of vegetables. For the main entree, we shared a lobster pasta and two side orders of lemon potatoes. The lobster shell is placed on the plate just for aesthetics as all the meat is already placed inside the pasta. The pasta is not dry at all. It consists of garlic and white wine. I love when it first comes out hot and steamy. The Lemon potatoes are one of my favorites. They are seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice - makes you want to keep eating it. Lastly, for dessert I ordered the Greek Yogurt which tastes splendid with the honey, berry compote, some kind of fruit, and some nut crumbles. I made a reservation a week prior on OpenTable for a birthday celebration and I added a note to put Happy Birthday on the dessert. But I was disappointed to find that they missed my note completely. In fact, the table next to us actually had "Happy Birthday" sprinkled onto their plate along with a candle. Will definitely walk up to the waiter next time to plant the surprise for the next person I celebrate with!

Beautiful interior. Service was very attentive. Enjoyed the Greek restaurant. Appetizers of octopus, calamari and beets were great. My entree of crab cakes was tasty. Had to have the baklava for dessert with Greek coffee.

I hosted a business dinner at Limani. There were four of us. Two of us were colleagues, and we emphasized that to avoid any confusion. Two were retirees -- one when asked what kept him busy answered that at his age it was enough to make it through the day. That couple, married, had selected the venue based on proximity to their home, it corresponding to his nation of origin (he came by ship as a student), and the quality. I am glad I deferred to their judgment. I would be glad to go again, though the truth is I am not often in the neighborhood. Our guest of honor selected several small dishes to share. The octopus was tender. That dish is not always as delectably soft. The zucchini chips were battered delicately. They were the best such item I have ever sampled. There were spreads with pita bread. My main dish was tuna with spinach. They have fresh fish laid out on ice. I love to see the sparkle of scales and the brilliance of the eyes. The preparation was by someone with a deft touch in timing the doneness and sprinkling on a modicum of sesame seeds. The side of spinach was exceptionally fresh. It was sautéed so as not to pass into limpness or to be too wet. I would register a minor disappointment. At Greek establishments, I look for retsina. Its distinctive flavor is caused by sealing amphorae with pine resin. That practice is not necessary, but it continues in order to impart the off taste. The "balsamic aroma" Is an acquired taste. I took to it without any cajoling, as an aficionado of stronger relishes. I had enough leftovers, since I was given the starters, for two meals. I don't know why some people eschew leftovers. They are a pleasure. They also are economical and environmentally beneficial. I suppose some worry about germs. I have never had an issue. The ambiance was upscale without being extravagant. The service was impeccable. It was not raucous. It was just lively enough to suit a party that was more mature.

We can hear for dinner last night ... let's start by saying the valet & parking area was full so seeing there on northern it was some what of a nightmare circling the street attempting to find parking ... however once we did and you walk in the ambience was beautiful. So modem and spacious. We were seated immediately and the service was great , our table wobbled a bit and they fixed it so fast. Now to the food we ordered the zucchini& eggplant crispy chips to start which came with tzatziki and cheese it was fantastic., it had a light crispy with salt , then I got the halibut with fresh vegetables and my husband got the lamb chops and boy or boy were we impressed. The price was reasonable . All and all we enjoyed our selfs and would go again.

Great meal, date night last night, perfect food, service and setting. Limani has been doing everything right the last few times there. Tried the broiled veal chop, it was out of this world. Cool new Open Table feature, you can see your check real time from the app, it's integrated with the restaurant's POS system. Surely they will have a mobile pay option soon - can't wait for that!!

Great food. Very loud restaurant. I came for a Thursday night dinner reservation and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes on the side of the road because there was no available parking. It was packed. Cars were lined up awkwardly like Tetris. Once we finally parked, the inside was so loud. Decoration was pretty nice but simple. Our waiter was alright, but all of the staff were rushing and were more panicky since it was so busy that night. The complimentary pita bread and dips were amazing and so addicting. The pita was crunchy and had a nice smoky flavor that I loved. For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and scallops. The calamari was very yummy and easy to chew. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were also very good. Entrees consisted of the loup de mer, the black sea bass for two, and the filet mignon, with a side of grilled vegetables. The loup de mer was very tasty. The fish was very soft and had a prominent taste of olive oil, but had a subtle flavor. Not too much lemon flavor. The black sea bass had the same flavor as the loup de mer, but was stiffer and more pricey for one person than the loup de mer. The filet mignon was super tender and soft: a really good cut of beef. The grilled vegetables were an enjoyable side and were packed with flavor too. We tried the galaktoboureko for dessert which had layers of crunchy phyllo, custard cream in the middle, and vanilla ice cream under all of it. It was pretty good. It kind of tasted like cereal. Overall, my experience was hindered by the sheer number of people and the loudness of the restaurant. But really great mediterranean food!
